I NEED finical organization / self employment organization any tips what works for you?

I REALLY need to get organized with bills! I need a way to keep track of whats due and when how much longer I have to pay on it how much is left ect. Someone suggested and ledger. I went to Wal Mart didn't find one! I am also a hair stylist and considered self employed. I always loose receipts forget to keep track of what I am making each week, mileage ECT! I NEED HELP! Any tips tricks or suggestions on what works for you to keep your financial life out of chaos? Any self employed with tips on how to organize for taxes? Help me!!!!
